Can’t hate a guy who spends 500,000 and then says he’s going to drive the wheels off the car.

What’s the consensus on the 911T? Has anyone seen or driven one yet?

Sure, they’ll be fine. But Porsche always has some design issue in their first gen power plants. |
I assume this is all the more reason to take all the money out of my 401k find a bunch of well appointed used 991s and end of production 997 and sit on them for 10 yrs... to profit?

I can't read all of this stuff, but one thing does stand out. As much as I like 991's, the 7-speed wasn't as good as either the 6-speed boxes on the 981's or any previous 987/997.

Saw this ad for this is my local PCA mag. Thought it might be the ultimate until I saw the interior :eeps:

The light grey carpets are a nice touch.

Kinda curious ... you think he’ll like it better than the cayman ?
It looks like a really nice 911 ... for me I needed the extra room in the 911 it makes it a very livable car where the boxster I had felt too tight and small. |

Can you do anything with ims on those? I thought the 06+ were SOL?

Seems a bit high priced for mileage , number of owners, 997.1:dunno:

seems like a article worth debating... Sapphire wasn't even on there, and it is my personal #1 |
The lapis blue is really cool ... also I always really liked the dark blue with tan interior that the 991 was originally released in.
They might have the same blue today for all I know but I just know when I was getting my car I loved that one. I searched but couldn’t find a picture of it to post. |
No, the correct answer is Cobalt. But Petrol is pretty sweet.

Yes. The SC range is awesome. |

I had my atlas cayman for 5 years. Rare that I buy new and rare that I keep for that long. |
This is basically my perfect spec:
https://www.intersportsales.com/2009...8/Details.aspx 987.2, 25K miles, blue over tan, Carrera II wheels. It's gorgeous. But there's no way I'm paying 63K for it. |
That is a beautiful color combo, I always liked that shade of blue, my 997 was black with that same tan interior plus I had purchased a set of those wheels ... they are pretty hot.
BUT at $63k that is a lot of $$. Btw sorry buddy but you must be having a brain fart ... I think you meant to type 997.2 |
Oh, sorry, yeah. 997.2.

Once again, even if this one is overpriced. These cars have depreciated near ZERO. I bought mine in the fall of 2011 (when the car had substantial warranty) with 5 or 10k miles on it, for around $70k and I traded out in Spring 2012 at around the same price. Sure that was a non-S, but that's still in the 50's assuming not too many miles, SEVEN years on! |
Tan interiors :ack:

Also no sapphire blue or is that what your current boxster color is? |

If it makes you feel any better, I find the power plant in the 997.2 to be underwhelming. The car is heavy and doesn’t feel as nimble for handling as any Boxster. To me, it’s “meh”. There’s nothing especially appealing about the 997.2 to me. It looks too plain to me. Not wide enough hips. Not enough power for how heavy it is. Looks dumb when the tiny little spoiler is deployed. I think the 991 and 992s have more character from a styling point of view. At this point I’d seek one of those out. And finally.....the Boxster still always drives better. (Have to be honest) |
