I wonder just how hard it is to do this...

I do have a lift after all. I don't need to do it, but perhaps if I ever had to...

body on frame baby :drink2:

Well, as Clarkson famously mocked, the LR4 (& LR3) have a unibody on top of a frame, so two frames in one.

...which explains why it weighs 3 tons. :ack:

The wise ass in me wants to say "taking things apart is easy"

But why would you want to do this?

I don't want to, but it is an option few cars have. I also happen to have a lift, so it is at least conceivable.

I just ran into the photo from a guy in South Africa that was having his engine worked on and it made me wonder if years down the road I have involved work, if it is easier pull off the body and to do that than to work through the hood.

It can't be THAT hard, but it may be hard enough to not consider.

If you need to do major engine work, it's almost certainly easier to lift the body.

Are you asking if that is the color of my SUV? If so, no. My is Corris Grey, that is Nara Bronze (taupe/brown).
