VW corporate got back to me and offered $17,794. Calculation was based on how much I paid and how many miles I put on it so not what I was looking for.

But the dealer offered me $23500 which is darn good and tempting but back to not sure what I would get to replace so will probably do nothing:?

Not sure why I am looking at GTI but the dealer who is offering to buy mine has a 40th anniversary edition coming in

Is is Pomelo yellow which is a bit 2F2F with the red wheels accents and graphics for me

40th anniversary sounds like a good spec though

Edit: Not sure why I said robustness when my previous GTI block seemed to have failed with a probably hairline crack in it:?::lol:

Lol at the dealer advertising the lease price by week for a 60 month term! You’d end up paying 92k! Hadn’t seen that gimmick before

Think you’re off a little somewhere in your math 😁

128 * 260 = $33,280

Looks like ~$40k sale price plus a few thousand of fees (not sure what is legit CA fee vs dealer BS - $100 AC tax?) and $20k lease end value. Definitely a bad lease lease but not quite as bad as $92k.

Haha guess I did that too quickly. Still kind of a silly gimmick

Yeah I did the math twice because I couldn’t figure out how Rob got to that amount.

But I wlll say to quote a lease by the cost per week is definitely a new one.

Is there anything performance related about the 40th edition GTI?

Does it have more power?

Not HP wise , just 19" with summer tires and adaptive dampers

Local Subaru dealer emailed me that they just got in a BRZ 6MT and asked if I wanted to test drive it. So I emailed him back and asked if I could come up now which he said yes.

So I get up there and asked for the guy who who sent the email. The guy was some young person being escorted by an older salesman. The young guy barely spoke english so the older guy explained they just got it in so it is being prepped so not available for a few hours. He then precedes to tell me they don't let people test drive them anyhow.:irate: I said that is not what the young guy told me and he just looks at me. So I left, dealer didn't seem to care that they wasted my time since I guess they have people lined up for it.

anyways, reminds me why I hate dealers.
