2011 BMW X5 xdrive35d - sport premium - CPO - SOLD

Relatively rare for a diesel to have the sports activity package.

Vermillion red metallic/cinnamon brown leather.
- Premium Package (lumbar, dimming, power liftgate etc)
- Sports Activity Package with 19" wheels (bolstered seats, black headliner, flared arches)
- Cold Weather Package (heated seats front & rear, heated steering wheel)
- Navigation (HD storage of favorite songs as well as ipod/usb/bluetooth)
- Satellite Radio
- Comfort Access
- Park Distance Control
- Running boards
- Matte Black Roof Rails

34k miles. The 35d engine runs very well, pulls strong and gets high 20's perhaps up to 30 on the highway. My overall average is 24.0 on the trip computer and that is truly city/highway combined.

New tires, needs nothing. The car is in excellent condition with no paintwork or accidents, ever.

The best part: It's a late '11, built 03/2011. Original warranty valid through April 28, 2015. Bmw certified pre-owned warranty (CPO) is good through April 28, 2017 or 100,000 miles.

Located in North NJ near NYC. Title in-hand.

SOLD

Pics will be forthcoming.

Before the comments start flowing in, I lasted 7 weeks, 1000 miles. I could keep it over the winter if need be, but might as well sell as I know it's not going to stay long term.

I will miss that engine, it is immense, with great mpg's, not comparable to the gas versions of this car/truck/thingie. Complete magic.

Wow... If my wife's Countryman was ~3 years older I'd see if she was interested.

But a comment is needed -- what does "I lasted 7 weeks..." mean -- what did you not like?

John V 10-15-2013 12:42 PM

I think equ on this board was looking for one. Maybe ping him to see if he's still interested?

I don't like driving it. I thought gf might warm up to it, she didn't either (and unfortunately she doesn't participate when I go car shopping).

The ride/handling balance of a high 5200lbs just doesn't work for me, an enthusiast, even though I try to have one non-enthusiast car in the household. I didn't find the a4 sports package good enough. While the x5 has better steering feel and weight distribution, that's about it. It's like driving an elephant and no suspension magic/lowering/adaptive drive whatever will ever fix it. Just being honest here.

If I can convince myself that the front seats won't kill my back, I'm thinking of going with a recent (11+) wrx hatch. I can get over the basic impreza interior for the trade-off of having a light, fun, fast car. A trade-in of an expensive bmw for such a car will be hard, so I may have to sell this myself, especially as it has cpo.

Have you listed it on the CCA website? Pretty good traffic over there, if you are trying to sell a BMW.

Or so I am told.

What about an x1? Are there used ones around yet?

equ 10-15-2013 01:52 PM

I am going to put it on bmwcca... If it stays long enough on the market, could even hit the roundel that way (which is how we bought our 528). Just waiting to get the pics (as the wheel set has changed since I last took pics).

Yeah i don't get the point of sporty SUV's, kind of oxymoron

As I mentioned before X1 seems like it could be a decent drive since it is basically a 1/3 wagon mildly lifted. Most of you guys hate the looks but it is ok with me.

I got (am still getting) a lot of calls from my M5 listing. Probably not as many as if I had listed a manual wagon though.

Bimmerforums has a very active classified section as well.

Edit: you and equ should just trade.
