Any of you guys run all-terrain tires on your trucks ??

If so, what brand/model.

I'm thinking of replacing my BFG A/T KO (the original one, not the new KO2) with these.

Any experiences with them ?? Do you guys recommend other a/t tires ??

My usage is about 80% highway/20% off-road. Highway noise really isn't a factor - I just turn up the volume of my radio, lol.

Thanks in advance.

I have the new BFG AT something or other. I hated them at first, but they are settling in okay now - or I'm just used to them.

I thought about those Toyos, I think that's the one that's OE on the off-roady Ram. Cooper makes something similar too. Neither of those had the mountain snowflake cert so I went with the BFG which does.

I had the Bridgestone Dueler A/T on my Tundra and liked them quite a bit.

I used Michelin LTX AT2's on my JGC. I really liked them. Plenty comfortable in the highway, long tread life, decent control, etc. Never really tested their off road prowess, but when I did, they did very well.

Everyone seems to love the BFG KO2. Might get them on the 4runner when the stock tires wear out.

My 10-year old BFGs has about 25k miles (remember, I only use my truck whenever there's snow, and for boat towing duties. Since the ski resort is only 36 miles and the lake only 28 miles from our house, the truck really doesn't accumulate that many miles a year).

Anyway, I've been impressed with its performance. I just thought I'd try something different (ok, cheaper), but I suppose tires are something that shouldn't be skimped on.

So to those who are wondering if they should run it, you should. The tire is one of the oldest out there, so it must be pretty good, right ??

I thought about getting those Toyos, but since they're not mountain snowflake certified, the choice is pretty clear.

Thanks for all your replies.

IMHO 10 years is way too old (sidewall wise) to have tires on anything I would drive

Normally, mileage and wear would have me replace tires before the 5-year mark.

However, when I inspected the sidewalls, there were no visible cracks. There's probably a little over 1/4" of usable tread left. I should have replaced them after 7 years, but these BFGs have some of the thickest sidewalls I've ever used. Iirc, they are Load Range E, since I tow a boat.

But you're right, I should have replaced them earlier. That is why I'm actively shopping for replacement tires, and have been getting quotes lately.
