f30 LCI 340i headlight solution

I'm really at a loss here. My 2016 340i has the 'base' LED reflectors and the low beam is horrendous. Due to the track handling package, I have no front fog lights either.

Not sure what my options are... I'm fairly sure previous BMW bi-xenon projectors were all better than this set-up.

I see a 2016 m4 bi-xenon set up for sale.

Would this coupe set up fit my sedan physically? What happens to all the light control module side? Are they incompatible. Is a 2016 f80/M pre-LCI?

I'm also open to other suggestions. I need to fix my low beam situation. High beam could be better as well, but low beam is unacceptable. This is the worst headlight I have driven with since the 90's.

coupe and sedan are generally not interchangeable. M sedans have a weird coupe hybrid front end.

That's what I thought and that's where the problems begin. Who knows what it will mean to run HID on a car meant for LED.

I don’t have the answer but did you try Bimmerfest or bimmerpost ?

Wow there is some hilariously hard to read posts in this thread--bad/no grammar, random capitalization, you name it.

And wow, umnitza is still around? That's a blast from the past.

But yeah, it looks like the LCI cars don't have as many (any?) options. Weird.

I haven't read recently but that was my initial research a couple of years back when I got the 340i. Now the car is out of CPO warranty (cut down to 5 years). I plan to keep it, so I'm open to spending some $. Not $1k, but let's say in the $400 to $900 range.

Not sure why there are no options for the LCI. I think folks mainly care that their car has white headlights and have halos or something. LED even better... So I have all that but not enough lit ground.

I could try to get a dumped halogen housing and see if I can get a specialist to fit projector HID's in that. But then how is the module going to work? And how much will all of that run?

are your low beams halogen or LED? If they're Halogen, running some Osram off road bulbs helped a ton on the e46

This is goofy maybe but can you get a set of round Hellas or something?

They are crappy LED's. The e46 halogen and vw alltrack halogen are all better than this (and have fog lights to add on). I haven't had a headlight this bad since my grad school jalopies: 1986 mercury marquis and a 1988 nissan sentra.

Yes, the Hella idea occurred to me. I guess I need to find a specialist and open my wallet. I really would like a nice cut-off, I hate when people blind me and I don't want to blind anyone. But there is no real inspection in NJ and no laws enforced anyway, so I could probably get away with a light bar if I wanted to.

Can’t remember if we talked about this but have you tried checking the alignment and adjusting the height? I haven’t looked at ours (honestly don’t drive the car much and have been on fence about selling or trading for something else so no real urgency) but when I did some research on this last year there were a bunch of posts on the F30 forums about adjustments helping at least make it less bad and how factory adjustment spec was really low.
