That's not fun.

I still want to do the One Lap of America one day, but I get the impression that the Track Night through SCCA is something between parade laps and a driver's school. I have not been to one and not researched thoroughly, but I suspect all the safety regs are followed as a normal driver's school but gives a more relaxed vibe than BMWCCA, Porsche, etc. schools.

If I ever do want to do the One Lap of America, I'll need to get comfortable on track and would not mind starting at one of these events. Know your risks.

I don't need that kind of excitement in a car that's not prepped to protect me if that happens at a really bad time.

Power on that miata modified? actually looks pretty fast

I forgot my first track event that I did with NASA at Sears point. It was scary as hell driving my daily driver A4 with a bunch of people driving lemons type cars. There were a bunch of crashes.

After that I just started doing BMW clubs event only and it was a lot safer. I would still recommend dedicated track insurance for high cost cars.

It doesn't help that tracks around here all have walls, and trees, and suicidal deer lurking in the shadows.

It sounds like it is turbocharged.

I'm. It sure how it's prepped. I can ask...
