335xi recommendations

Unfortunately, not for me. My brother is ready to upgrade from his 1995 525i and is leaning towards a CPO 335xi (2007 or 2008). Does anyone here have any tips on what to look out for or any issues with these cars?

Thanks in advance. :)

The issue is that the hpfp will fail. Sometimes a lot of times. Supposedly, the single turbo version is better.

Thanks Nick. That's unfortunate. It does seem like BMW has warranteed the part for 10 years/120k miles. Still, the labor involved would be expensive I'm sure.

I think the warranty extension covers parts and labor... in other words, bring it in and they replace it for you.

A friend of mine is shopping for an Xi coupe - all I can tell you is the new ones ride better than the older ones and on an Xi, the sport package gets you better seats.

I really thought they fixed the problem... have people with relatively new replacements (last 4 months or so) had the problem recur?

Have not been following it, honestly. I hope that the problem has been "fixed" by now.

Happy to hear that the new ones ride better. My 06 xi rode like s***.

Great info, thanks! I figured you'd have a useful tidbit for me. :)
