Out the sunroof.

Notice the beads still in the trees. Wouldn't want to be parked under those trees in a storm.

TD, what's wrong with the E46 interior? :dunno:

Well, YOURS is baby blue.

Otherwise, I've just never cared for the stereo/HVAC pod treatment. It looks vacant and dull. I don't care for how the trim works around the top of it. And I don't think it's driver-oriented enough.

Also, the interior lighting in the E46 is shit. Each light fixture is a bare bulb with what looks like crinkled aluminum foil behind it. I don't like that the center console plastics are made the same color as the leather (or, more accurately, made a different yet remotely similar color effectively adding a third color to the interior). These parts should be black plastic regardless of interior color like they are in older BMWs.

Then there is the goofy looking sports steering wheel used from '01+ (the M3 wheel is not much better looks-wise - YOUR wheel looks great) and the poorly designed automatic climate control.

"vacant and dull" could easily be turned around to be said as simple and driver friendly.

The interior on N ate's car beats the pants off the Z4 and new 7 and 5 series as far as both style and functionality are concerned. It's not even a debate in my book. However, the E32/E36/E38 generation of cars are still my favorite though.

Oh - Nice substitution on the.. uh ... name.... :D

Of course, I completely agree with this statement. But throw in the E34.
