Even less of a reality with the tax credits drying up.

I'm pretty sure the prices will only come down, especially once the tax credit disappears.

I view this as me buying an insanely overpriced car just for the fun of being an early adopter.

Do you have a delivery date already???

Almost. I have a VIN and ETA for the car to arrive is Sat Aug 25. Earliest delivery will be the 26th, or any time that following week, assuming the car arrives that day (there have been some reports of 1-2 day shipping delays).

Interested in a lightly used 2013 Model S by chance? It’s now for sale :D

Just over 92k miles, extended warranty is transferable for $100 (gives full coverage up to 100k miles with a $200 per visit deductible, which Tesla has never collected for the handful of repairs done), and the battery and Powertrain are warranted up to 8 years (about 2.75 remaining) or 125k miles.

No interest in a Model S. I just don't like the way they drive.

Starting to seriously think about a Volt for my wife. Easily had new in mid $20s right now and it's a great match for her use case.

Mid 20's minus 7.5k?

Before tax credits. Haven't looked that close, but rebates and incentives appear...not insignificant.

Shit, even Gen 2 Volts (2016+) on Carmax are mid/high $20s.

For reference, the cheapest 2016+ turbo Camaro Carmax has listed is $1100 more than I paid for my new 2017 in February.
