Delete that thing so one of us can buy this car from you!

LOL I will have it welded in place :D

Congrats, that will be a nice machine.

Thanks guys!

I've agonized over the moonroof thing, but really, I just like having the hole up top. I decided to at least go with leather to minimize the unicorn factor.

The MY2018 M3 seems to not only have benefited from inevitable manufacturing improvements but also suspension and other tweaks on the competition pkg.

I'm banking on a highly memorable family trip experience. I hope that doesn't disappoint.

I don't think it's stupid. You've been thinking about one of these for a while.

ED isn't a discount for M cars, right? Or they still come out of allocation so you don't have the bargaining power for a non-m? I forget how it works. But either way, ED is still a special treat. It's just fun somehow, and it adds to the purchase experience.

In terms of used, there's also something to owning a new car. If you can predict when you will keep the car for a long time, and you get a good deal on the initial purchase, it's still worth it IMO.

I do get 5% off on ED, plus the usual haggle for another ~5% off. It will still hurt when I sell it for sure, but it is bound to have low miles and be well taken care of. If I can get someone to get past the sunroof and hold on to it for 6 years+, you never know, it might not be that awful going by late year E90 prices.

Awesome, enjoy the ED too! It should keep you entertained for years!

I'd assume that the sunroof will increase your sale value in the general population. Just not here.

The e90 market doesn't really seem relevant unless they put a 4cyl in the new one - or stop offering the manual transmission. :dunno:

I think that's right, especially since it will be a sedan and not a coupe, it's less likely to be a dilettante hot-rodder choice.

This could well happen.

Plus I just did a search and 2011 E90's with 65k miles and unknown histories are over 30k.

If I end up averaging 6k/year in depreciation after 6 years, I'd be ok with that. Mine is bound to have under 40k miles after 6 years.

It doesn't matter though. It will be what it will be.

Yeah but which M's are not doing well resale wise?
