Autocross classing riddle...
 

Part A: What 300 hp, 3400lb six cylinder car with a 6 speed manual and a limited slip differential is (for now, anyway) classified in D Stock?

Part B: Will we ever see one actually run at a DC area autocross?

Part A: '05 G35 Sedan

Part B: Seen a couple G35 sedans in the past...

A: To be specific, the '05 G35 Sedan 6MT.

B: No sticks, to my knowledge. The auto that was at the BMW event on Saturday turned in some reasonable times, IIRC, especially given that it was apparently one of the first few autoxs for the driver (at least according to what someone said).

did you say 300 hp?

For 05, both the G35 coupe and sedan get 298 hp when equipped with the 6 speed manual.
