Convertible colors

We're close to pulling the trigger on an M240 convertible. Atlanta gets HOT. So, I'm dithering about exterior and interior colors.

Right now, the leading contenders are Estoril/Oyster and Glacier Silver Metallic/Coral Red.

The interior colors are very limited in this car. I don't want the seats or the exterior of the car too dark, given the climate. But I do have a dog and a messy kid. The kid would ride in the car every day. I will put a seat cover on his seat. Still, I wonder if Oyster will survive the long haul in an open air car.

Coral red is, well, loud. But neither too dark nor too light, and has some fun factor.

I'm slightly tempted by the superman combo of Estoril and Coral. But that could be a huge mistake as well.

Mineral gray and coral looks pretty sharp. But I don't want another dark exterior that looks dirty all of the time.

Another wild car combo would be Glacier Silver exterior, brown soft top, and Terra brown seats.

Still, if I don't get Estoril, I fear I might regret it. But it also feels a little flashy, perhaps drawing undo attention to the car.

Thoughts?

The newer BMW convertibles have an IR reflective dye in their leather and they don't get nearly as hot in the sun as they used to. I have absolutely no issues with my tobacco brown getting overly warm in direct sunlight with the top down even in middle of summer.

Oyster is pretty, but I'd be afraid of dirt and pollen stains from being exposed.

Personally, I really, really like mineral gray. If it were my I'd do the Mineral Gray / Terra, but color is a very personal and subjective decision.

Don't worry too much about the seats getting too hot.

The Mineral Gray is very sharp--actually elegant. But our X5 is Space Gray. A bit of a snooze to have both. The Estoril harkens a bit to the Topaz Z3 we had and loved.

I would do Saddle Brown seats in a heartbeat. But not available in the 2.

You can't get blue and brown? No way would I do a white interior.

I'd do blue with brown. Even if not available on the configurator, I'm pretty sure you can get it.

Estoril/black

I did an online build and couldn't find the option for a manual. Is it gone on convertible 2 series?

Stay away from the oyster interior. My wife's Countryman has a very similar color interior and it started looking aweful within months. It gets dirty and does not clean up well. Got worse when we got the dog (and my wife takes the dog everywhere,,,).

You can: It's Estoril and Terra, which is a dark, muddy brown.

I might be leaning this way.

It's available in the M240 (it's a no-cost option). Perhaps not available in the base 230.

That's my concern. We have Oyster in the SUV (not my choice), and I'm tense whenever I get in the car.
