Wheel repair fun

So I had the Tesla wheel straightened at a local shop, and figured I’d get some minor rash fixed on my BMW summer set, too. Picked up the solo wheels last month and all seemed fine.

Today I went to put the summer set on the BMW. Ummm.

Repaired wheel on the bottom.

Wasn’t super obvious by itself, but next to the other three...yeah they painted it the wrong fucking color.

Ugh.

Oy.

That sucks, but at least it's not broken.

Yes, that’s true... though this wheel was never broken. It just had a bit of rash on the rim. This is much worse than that.

In fairness, they did a nice job on both wheels—Tesla wheel now straight and the paint on this one is nice but for the fact that it is glaringly the wrong color.

That is always my worry when having a wheel done not that I ever had one repaired I just remember my brothers Audi S4 wheel when it was repaired was not quite the same as the others.

Is the place even open now where you can get them to fix it ?

Honestly I don’t know. Will call Monday. It’s a very small shop so social distancing wouldn’t be an issue for them but not sure whether they are still open.

Auto service, so essential.

Yes Auto service is essential here in NY too, I just wasn’t sure if it was a wheel place, the place that does my powder coating only does wheel repair and powder coating, I am pretty sure they are closed but not positive.

I mean, this particular auto service isn’t essential, though drawing the line between essential and not is tricky.

At the same time, this is like a 3 man operation, and I think the risk in dropping off a wheel to be (re) fixed is pretty low on both sides. Am I being sociopathic?
