Yep. It's certainly tempting.

It's actually a pretty great deal too.

The as tested price in that article is stupid, but the base car comes really loaded anyway. Especially when you consider that the E39 M5 was $70k new in 2000.

4100lbs is acceptable (4000 wasn't the end of the world on my slightly tuned 535i manual). Power it too much and the looks are not for me though...

Agree the looks could be better. But I’m pretty sure this is the last v8 manual sedan we’ll ever see.. (and yeah I realize we all said that about the Chevy SS as well)

Weirdly enough I liked the last gen’s more aggressive look better. I think this new version looks very Chevy generic. The back is horrible and the front looks like a Malibu.

Sucks they skipped the manual option on the version I think is the best looking.

Yeah I was thinking it’s a bit accord like as well. Kind of generic. I guess it’ll make a good sleeper. Which version do you think looks the best?

Not a fan of the looks either. It seems bland. But maybe that was a conscious decision, to draw the typically bland German car buyer (me).

The power train is amazing. The LT4 is explosive RIGHT NOW power. Like an aircraft carrier catapault. The manual (TR6060) is also amazing. it’s a no brainer and I will probably get one.

The first 250 of both CT4V and CT5V Blackwings built have some Easter eggs, including names of select workers that designed or built them on trim plates. This photo is from a CT5V Blackwing buyer. It recognizes a friend of mine that make these cars be so awesome.

That’s fucking awesome.

It’s a really cool and thoughtful touch.
