Just looks out of place.

The old one (as is in the BaT auction now) - Awesome. Perfect....

Kevin, ever see a black one in your area? I used to see it regularly in Monroe, Snohomish and Lake Stevens. Saw it at Bickford a couple of times too, I think it was sold there. I drove behind it once on Rt 2 in my S4. . .it was/is ridiculously wide

I used to see it every so often... Not so much anymore.

I think it was in the showroom at Bickford for a while (if it is the same one).

BaT can be a dangerous place....

Interesting. I'll have to follow this one. Love the color.

Cant wait to see what this goes for.

http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1995-bmw-m3-23/

No radio headunit is fitted, though the cars were equipped with speakers and radio wiring.
headunit weigh maybe 1 pound? seems a bit silly not to include since everything else is there:)

Holy sheet. With well over six days to go, it's already about to hit $110. I think $120 is too conservative.

While, on one hand, it's incredibly sad that this car has never been wrung out the way it was designed, it's also pretty amazing to come across a 100-mile example of a 1-in-125 car from 22 years ago. Anyone who could buy this car, most certainly has other cars that they might be more willing to actually drive.

Just saying, I wouldn't trade. :D

Maybe too many modifications

I simply do not understand the appeal of one of the M3 LTW at $100k. They are just not that special.

It's not much more capable than a run-of-the-mill '95 M3, but it's rare -- rare options list, rare color combo, etc. In the absence of true scarcity like the E30 M3, rare editions and low mileage are what separate the high-dollar cars from everything else. It's happening in the E46 world, too, although not quite like this.

:dunno: The big issue with this particular car is that its new owner is pretty unlikely to put big miles on it. (Then again, the odometer rolled past 99 during the prep work for sale...I guess it's already in three-digit territory, too bad.) Seems kind of a shame to have this very nice car and never rub the mold release compound off of the tire treads.

Well apparently I was way to low. Alrway at $132 with 5 days left.

For the right price this could be a fun knock around 2nd car.

http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1995-bmw-m3-24/

Aren't the 95's more tuner friendly?

Those seats are in GREAT shape. Usually Vader's look like hell.

This is also neat!

Head serviced, water pump and thermostat? top end fixed, how about the bottom end?

I'd like to drive the MGB, I bet it is a blast, and probably unsafe:lol:

Holy crap, that's an interesting frankencar. 300+ HP in a little MGB? With an LSD? Yeah, that's got to be tons of fun. Would be even better in a Midget.

The M3 looks nice, too bad it's black. Or maybe it's good that it's black :)

Also, I'm probably being paranoid, but I wonder if this was a track toy. Fresh, non rusty bolts holding together the exhaust. Vaders that look almost too perfect to have 75,000 miles of use. Fresh Sachs shocks (who buys these on purpose?), etc. It wouldn't stop me from bidding, certainly, but it seems odd.

Yeah, I don't see how those seats could look so good after 22 years of use. Unless the owners all weighed 100 lbs. Very nice example, nice enough to baby but not too nice to drive hard.

Jeff_DML 02-10-2017 11:41 AM

Nice wagon, nicely optioned just m-sport except the lack of Xenons. Kind of interesting that BMW threw in leather but no xenons.

http://bringatrailer.com/listing/2012-bmw-328/

Edit; too bad bat was not around when I sold my wagon. Mine was a unicorn too

blee 02-11-2017 01:00 PM

Surprised that this car is unique enough to end up on BaT. It's nice and all.

kognito 02-11-2017 05:56 PM

Isn't this close to the same as TD's M3?

That E46 vert seems to be missing its aluminum chassis brace normally located between the front control arms - perhaps discarded and never replaced after the engine rebuild?

JST 02-11-2017 11:06 PM

That's a beautiful car and I've been thinking more and more about getting one like it...but deleting the cats is just irritating.

Yes, and I'm betting that the exhaust is also too loud for normal driving.

Regarding the reinforcement plate on the bottom, I sure hope that photo was taken just before it was put back on. That's an integral part of the chassis and BMW tells you not to drive the car without that part installed!

TD 02-12-2017 02:46 PM

Ours has the grey interior but is otherwise pretty much the same. And we have approx 35K miles on ours.

TD 02-12-2017 02:58 PM

When the time comes to sell our Audi wagon, I'm thinking it might have to go up BaT. Quattro, sport package, 6-spd. It was at the dealer last week and the service guys were blown away that my wife was the owner of this particular "unicorn" (they did call it that).

Yeah, I'm definitely thinking BaT is the 1st place for me to go when I'm ready to rid myself of the 1M. (Not anytime soon)

yeah, umm, you should mention it here before going that route.

Most times, when looking at the auctions there, I think that I'm happy I'm not the seller having to deal with or be exposed to all the criticism in the comments. Yeah, you are reaching the niche buyers, but at what cost?

If you know the full history of the car it seems like a good route to me. Car dependent though.

blee 02-13-2017 07:28 AM

Speaking of cost, what kinds of sellers fees are collected by BaT?

Theo 02-14-2017 01:51 PM

Can anybody tell me why there are SO many of these on BAT??

http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-alfa-romeo-gtv-2/

There is a least one every week. Are they that popular?

They were on TV. I can't even remember now what commercial it was that made them famous.

It looks like there are two being auctioned now.

They are gorgeous in person. The proportions are perfect.
