Red cylinder head covers, flat crank V8, 10,000RPMs? Sounds like a F-Car engine to me. Props to the first to install one in an Atom!

BMW could learn a little somethin' somethin' from Hayabusa about building V8s with some nice torque numbers.

I haven't actually seen more progress wrt the Atom besides those pics. Have they actually tracked one with a V8 by now?

Also, I missed the link in the OP:

I don't believe Hayabusa is a company, but is instead a model name of a high powered 4 cylinder motorcycle, made by Suzuki.

BTW, I thought Radical was developing their on Haiyabusa V8? Unless this H1 firm was their development partner.

isn't it 2 hayabusa derived engines sewn together?

The initial starting point of their project was to take a Suzuki Hayabusa inline 4, and then double everything to make a V-8.

If you went to their website, you can see it was a little more tricky than the above description.

Basically.

Semantically, it seemed you were inferring Hayabusa was a company making the engine. Not the vehicle the base engine was pulled from.

it's true. i thought hayabusa made the engine.

not really being a motorcycle person, it's just what i thought.
