This seems obvious to me, but apparently was not to the previous owner of a friend's 323i. That guy decided to replace his RTABs, but cut them almost in half prior to install.

Is this like repeatedly punching yourself in the forehead prior to factoring large prime numbers? Or something less obvious? If the latter, I applaud their capacity for the road less traveled.

Removal is easy, especially if you have an air chisel. Or a torch. Either way.

Reinstallation (with new stock bushings) is a major PITA.

i put in UUC RTABS so reinstall was a cake walk! :D

We use PowerFlex. Slip right in with teh proper lube.

TIp: Do not sit on the opened package of copper based anti-sieze lube, and then go out in public.
