OK folks-
Some of you may remember that I've been looking at getting an old coupe (yeah, I know... a glutton for punishment...)

Oh well....
There are a couple of cars that are available to me that have very distinct color differences....

Turkis and Fjord Blue are the colors of the two cars I'm looking at-
(These are not the specific cars, just representative pics)

Turkis

and

Fjord Blue

or my 2002

I don't think I'm going to mind the bright colors too much, but I'm not sure. I do know the bright colors seem to fit the "early 70's" period of these cars, but...???

Just seeing what folks think-
(that and a cheap excuse for a poll...)

The Fjord Blue for sure! The other is a little...odd. I don't like it, but it would be different, for sure! Or if "other"...RED!!!!

Fjord Blue gets my vote. It kinda looks like my Steel Blue 325i.

Ummm....
You guys are really making this real hard.

I'll fill you in on the details...

The Turkis car is in 100% perfect shape (mechanically, cosmetically - interior and exterior - and absolutely no rust). It is also priced accordingly. It's entered several car shows in the NW here and is just about as clean and well done as you can ever find for one of these cars. It also does not have A/C but does have the 4sp and sunroof (This is what I am looking for) I am not sure about the color... I know I think the car looks good in this color, I'm just not sure I would want to live with that 'in your face' color from here on out-

The Fjord car is 100% mechanically together (very very nice actually) and the interior is 99% perfect. The body is all there except there are a few bumps and bruises from stupid things happening in the garage... but no accidents. Some of those bruises are pretty noticeable. There is also no rust. I would eventually want to get the body straight though. (But then I've been saying that about the 02 since 1985) It has non-functioning A/C (even if it did work, it's worthless) and the 4sp and sunroof... I do love the color although I'd kind of like to get another color for my other BMW (I have a Fjord 2002 now...)

Due to the price difference, if I get the 'perfect' car, I would probably have to sell the 2002... $18k vs $12k..... It's just the color that keeps me from jumping on it. Otherwise, I'd proabably go for it.

Man -o- Man.... Desisions Decisions....

Oh well... Thanks for everyone's help.....
I'll fill you in on what I end up doing... I go to look at the Turkis car Sat...

The Turkis is awesome.

That or the brgandy-like color they came in - I almost bought a 2002 in that color, but was outbid at the last moment.

Blue is the better color, but it looks like there's a lot more to have to base the decision on than just that.
