it was, for some reason, voted car of the year in japan.

the 2.5 GT is 250hp and rated at 5.5 seconds to 60mph.

here is a teaser:

it cracks me up, that stodgy, slow subarus are gunning to become HP kings with AWD.

i am tempted to post this over that bimmerfest and simply state that it might eat a ZHP alive (in a straight line).

That would make me laugh. DO IT! DO IT! It's not like that kind of post would be out of line with the others that show up there every day.

I like the looks of the new Legacy a lot--of course, I sort of like the old Legacy, too. This is the same engine that's in the Forester, no? If that's any indication, this thing should be a real screamer. I don't doubt that it will pull a ZHP in a straight line.

With the profusion of well sorted, fast cars for sale under 30K, I'm finding it harder and harder to justify the M3.

okay, dude, now you're going too far.

the ZHP and M3 are still cars worth the money, it's just that you do not have to pay that much money these days to get really decent transportation.

for example, i would love to have the new legacy GT with its 250hp and AWD to commute in to complement my C6. but that doesn't mean that it's a better car by any stretch than a ZHP. i think we'll see that from track laptimes as i am sure the comparisons will roll out as soon as the car does.
