I just don't get it. It's not like it's some kind of exotic that most people can't afford.

Where do they get off belittling people who drive 3 series?

Really, it's just a 6er. It's no lambo, it's no 430, it's no GT2.

It's a regular ole slushie BMW that can't get out of its own way with a Solara butt.

I normally don't do this, but this thread is just ludicrous.

Why do you care and why do you think that we care that you care?

Your post reflects the same sort of snobbiness that you criticize 6er owners for having. Perhaps most people that you associate yourself with can afford a 6er, but "most people" cannot. "Most people" cannot afford a new BMW, period. Anyway...really, it's just a 6er. It's no GT2.

are you really surprised anymore? those are precisely the people that BMW targeted with a laser-like precision.

when a car is nothing mechanically different from a 5 series but with different styling.....then you charge a lot more, that's what you get. like moths drawn to the flame, those types get drawn in. they can't help themselves.

it's funny. it's bourgeois comedy to the nth degree.

Regardless of what you think of stuka's post, I also find it amusing that whenever one criticizes anything about the 6, inevitably, one of the first responses will claim that the original poster "can't afford one".

The consistency is what is amazing.

I agree with everyone, including nate.

Uh, no.

The 6er owners are the only ones to date that, when anyone says anything perceived as negative about their precious cars, retort with the "you can't afford it" crap.

If you tell me that the GT2 ceramics are over priced POS that will disintegrate, I will say, you are probably right. I don't believe that I have ever said anything about how much $$$ I have.

I was merely pointing out that this statement is quite funny coming from owners of cars that really are no more exclusive/expensive than every other Lexus/MB/what have you.

You can choose how you read things, that is your perogative.

The 6er is no GT2, and Lambo, and 430.

Would you be happier if only the Italians are mentioned?

Or perhaps we throw in the 'mericans like the GT40?

Or take out the GT2?

Would that make the post more palatable?

Not really.

You can say whatever you want, but that won't stop people from thinking you might be uber obssesive :irate: on topics such as this, as well as P-cars with sunroofs and fantasy-matic trannys, or whatever the hell it is that you call them.

I don't about those ppl that post in that forum and certainly would not want to be associated with them, but I like my 6er, great cruiser, but heavy and its profile is not even close to being inspiring, otherwise I like its looks from every other angle. At the same time, it is the last BMW I'll ever own as I am sick and tired with the dealer network and their attitude.

Hosnestly, I never cared what others think about my cars and probably my history shows that :D

What do you think people who drive Camrys and Accords to get from point A to point B would call a bunch of people with fern cars that hang out on car boards talking about which fern cars is better?:dunno:

That's the thing. I don't think about it.

Stuka, please don't get defensive but what Nate and Ryan are stating is this remark is basically knocking the 6er owner when the beef of your thread is that the 6er owner is knocking a 3er (you know the kettle black etc.)

IMO your getting emotional and at the same time stooping to their level which is what your against in the first place ...

Not really such a big deal since we are all human and we all get emotional so we tend to sometimes sway in a direction we originally didn't intend to ...

i'm with Stuka-boy on this one.

anytime a 6series owner looks down on anyone is always like Rodney Dangerfield calling someone uncouth and tasteless and needs to be negatively reinforced.
