Wood trim kits are of questionable taste, at best; when the lacquer is cracked and yellowed, they're just ugly.

Has anyone pulled off this stuff without seriously killing the vinyl underneath? Should I just assume that I'll need to get something to cover the removal scars, or will things clean up with some goof off and/or paint?

No experience with it... but it probably depends on what was used to stick it on.

With goof off you may risk damaging the underlaying material. There is a water-based goof off 2 that is less risky, but also doesn't work as well...
