Most of the production specs look good. The hp (300 in the GT) is a bit of a surprise--I'd been hearing 280 until very recently. 3 valves per cylinder, SOHC, and VVT. Oh, yeah, on 87 octane. That's pretty impressive, considering that the ultra-high tech Valvetronic BMW engine only makes 25-30 more hp.

A solid rear axle remains. Weight isn't great (3450 lbs), but the balance is decent (53/47). The GT sticks with the 5 spd manual Tremec, and in all honesty doesn't need 6 gears. And hey, BMW, Ford even puts twin pot calipers on the V6 Mustang. Where are they on my 333 hp M3?



I'm going to have to get me one of these, I think.

I think working back to some of the styling cues from the late 60s model is a good move.

I would never own one, however... The build quality on every mustang I've ridden in over the last 15 years has been :thumbdow:
