That's what I consider a good setup (even though it's 325), but at $18,150 it's still $300 over book value.

I see being a racer in that car's future :)

I still keep looking at that car. Talk him down a bit more and it's a great ride for the money.

I keep trying to convince my wife that we should sell the accord and buy this, but she has no interest in doing so.

The fact that it's out of warranty is a bit of a dinger. Just in time for expensive shit to start breaking or wearing out.

Also, It's almost as "stripper" as you can get. It doesn't even have metallic paint (cripes!). Book value is right around $18K, depending on the actual condition, so in IMO he'd have to come down a few grand for it to be worth considering. And then you'd have to keep it forever, because not many people want a 325i optioned that way. Good luck trying to unload it.

If he came down to $15.5K, I might consider it. I mean, I'll bet he only paid $27K for it 4 years ago.

Like an M3 convertible with a stick, or even a ZHP with no leather, it's a difficult car to sell. There is a very specific set of people who would be interested in that car, but that group of people is not large. I think you are right about price--in order to get the "average" BMW intender interested, he is going to have price very low.

If Improved Touring didn't specifically ban wagons for some reason, I'd actually have picked one.

Interesting... we're considering getting an '06 (or '07 if we wait until next fall) 325xiT... probably with a few more options, but not much (premium package, so leather and sunroof). I think it will make sense to lease it since there are so few Tourings around...

Does E91 = the wagon form of the 325i? I wonder if it will have a real sport package?

Yes to both questions. Unfortunately, just like on the E46 wagon ZSP will probably still be too soft a setup.

Did the E46iT ZSP setup use shocks different from those on the sedan?

Good question. I'd opine that they use the exact same part numbers, but maybe someone with access to the ETK can verify that.

I guess I should qualify my statement in that I think all E46 ZSP models are still soft despite the ZSP bits that are in the package. :eeps:

as far as I know the sport package is the exact same for the wagon and sedan or if slightly tweaked since the wagon has more weight over the rear

sunroof is standard for e91 like the e90. plus the wagon has a jumbo sunroof, which is a con for me.

A 2007 328iT might be kind of tempting though

Yep, he needs to come a few grand for some racer out there with an older BMW to start thinking . . . :D
