That's ri-goddamned-diculous.

That's ri-goddamned-diculous.

the price would likely have something to do with the fact that the engine needs to come out of the chassis for most of those "major" service intervals, methinks.

Still slower than the Z06, too, I bet.

I am sure that it is slower than a Z06, all that I would say is that for about the same price, and after you have wring the car to 8200rpm with the windows down shifting through the H gate, I don't know that the answer to which car to pick would be that cut and dry.

Whatever they do to make the engine sound the way they do is just ridiculous, especially when you are driving down the road listening to them behind you.

But, and here's the big but. Unless the mechanic that I use who used to work for Ferrari gives me the green light, we aint doing it.

Oh, and the belts service is 3 year or every 15K, whichever is sooner. And yep, unless you get a 430 where it is not required because it uses chains, or a 360 where they can get to it by removing seats, you are hosed with the labor cost of engine remove/install.

Anyway, unless the mechanic thinks it's viable, it's back to the original plan of GT2/3.

The price is ridiculous, but the amount of work is pretty standard. 15,000 miles on one of these cars is probably about two years. Just because BMW says trans fluid, brake fluid, coolant, etc are "lifetime" fill... :ack:

And the 30k looks like a beeyotch.

So do Ferraris need their oil changed only once every 15,000 miles, or is it required sooner?

Indeed.

That car is beautiful, too bad the guy is not going to get 89 for it.

It probably would have already been sold if he had listed it as 82 to 85. Remember, a 25K mile 355 can be had for mid 70's, like that of a Z06.

It's the services that will kill you.

Call me a snob or what have you, but I don't think that answer if quite that clear cut even if you were to drive both cars back to back. Besides, this car has better power to weight ratio than even the GT3.
