Maybe the Turner reinforcement kit isn't a bad idea.

It's a darned good thing we were installing the kit anyway.

I think our DIY reinforcement brackets should work fine.

2002s are good too, but we all know that the pinnacle of BMW design and engineering was the E30. :dunno:
