Granted these are computer generated, but regardless, if they are the real deal I'm digging on the front and sides, but the rear looks kind of flat.

I dig it, I guess. The real question for me is whether it will have a more realistic F/R weight balance than the current car.

It appears to be a shorter front overhang. :dunno:

I actually like the rear. The front is .. vomitous.
Honestly, I'm okay with the whole thing. The front is a nice evolution of the current design and the nose seems to be less obnoxious than the current one. There seems to be more design continuity in the front as well. The rear also looks evolutionary but clean and athletic.
Overall, I like it. Looks would not prevent me from buying one.
Nice, I'd buy that. Naturally there are conditions though. ;)
Holy Crap!! They are just whipping through the iterations of the A4. What happened to the 5 to 7 year life span for a model run??
Thats got to be expensive, no?

Well, the B7 is more of an extensive facelift/freshening than it is an entirely new model.

Does that mean if an ugly nose is a nice evolution of an uglier nose that it's ok? If they evolved the five series nose, would you say the same thing?
I think that nose is hideous. I would not consider the car b/c of it unless the overall package was a tremdous performance/value combination that was sufficient to overcome the hideousness (sort of like . . . the car I am driving now, except it's not as ugly as this one).

doubt f/r balance will/can be improved much unless they switch to dedicated 4wd/rwd setup. They sell a lot of fwd audis in europe so doubt it.

... and undoubtedly it will weigh north of 4,000lbs.

i like the way the b8 looks. the b7 is too restrained, IMO whereas the b8 looks more like what the b7 should have been.
it's aggressive styling and i prefer that to what is on BMWs these days. BMW styling is too cerebral and cold. even the new M5 and M6 look eerily like something japanese designers would draw if the subject of the class was "apeing the germans and their styling", whereas audi styling seems to be truer and more cohesive (as TD alluded to earlier).
