View Full Version : When should I leave for MD?
It's still snowing a little bit, and all reports indicate that the roads are a total disaster. I'll either leave in a few hours or leave VERY early in the morning and get to my destination late tomorrow morning. I do appreciate any and all thoughts and advice.
Keep in mind that Nick probably won't show up until 11 o'clock anyway. :p

None of the above.
Leave at 6:00pm and get there at midnight.
Don't be a wimp. Go brave the weather. In your rear wheel drive sports car.
I would wait until the roads are somewhat cleared and then just go. The storm can't last forever. I would also have blankets, a candle, water and some other cold weather emergency type stuff (just in case) and I would drive more slowly than normal.

WAKE UP ZACH!
It's time for you to leave.
Are you going to Maryland or the doctor?

that would kind of defeat the purpose

Logan is barely operating right now. Thanks to the snow, my father gets to spend an extra night in beautiful Chester, VA. :ack:
To all people attending the session tomorrow:
I will be leaving here at about 4am getting there around 11am. The roads are finally clearing up.
I chose wisely.

I still think you could have escaped and made it to NY.
I'm at my in-laws now in NJ. See you at noon-ish.

Here's visual evidence of why I couldn't leave on Friday night.

I don't see the problem.
You had snow tires on, right?

Dude. I would have gotten there eventually, but it would have taken me hours and hours to get out of Massachusetts. I much preferred the 6 hour drive I had at 4am Saturday morning to the 9-10 hour one I would have experienced Friday night. As it was, the street wasn't plowed the next day.

Yeah, but none of us would have worked on one of those.

The tracks you see through the snow are from our Jeep Grand Cherokee. It had no problem. If I had a trailer, I could have towed the M3 to Maryland, I suppose.
