Took Friday off and the Mrs & I headed off for the Auto Show.
Normally her folks are out for Thanksgiving but couldn't make it this year so we had some time on our hands.
I haven't been to a car show in*years*; I don't know that wife has ever been so off we went.
Unfortunately by the end of the day, you can't tell one car from another so -sorry- I don't remember many of the models I sat in. Too bad you can't drive these things ;)
Checked out the new 5 Series. One word comes to mind: Cramped.
Man, it felt tight in that car. My 3 has more room. I also sat in a 7. It's hard to base an impression on a few minutes' time but I was not impressed. Also sat in the M3... felt a lot like my 3.
Squeezed into a Mini. My wife really liked this car and I still do, too... but I wouldn't want to be a passenger for a long trip.
Also spent time in a couple of Mercedes. Very nice interiors with good room.
The Audi A3 impressed as well.
Also sat in a couple of Saabs, a Caddy CTS (!), Volvo S60 (*really* nice interior) and a Jag (not for me). Swung by the Porches but they only let you sit in a Boxter. Sorry, it's the 911 or nothing.
Swung by the exotics and saw (look only, please) the Ferarri Enzo, a couple of Maseratti, a Lamborgini, Qvale, a couple of Bentleys (odd looking) and the DB7... NICE CAR!
Much fun was had by all and a bad case of new-car-desire has been survived. Then, I haven't finished looking at all the brochures yet LOL
