Shame about that curb weight, though. And it's a first-year GM.

But I think it deserves a test-drive - at least, if the autoweek/C&D first drives are any indication.

It's goofy.

Curb weight is a killer. But you knew that. :)

I like it. Maybe not in red, though.

I like the design of the Saturn Sky better.

I like the design of the Saturn Sky better.

So do I... they had the show car-Sky on display at Pebble Beach. I was surprised at how big it is -- I was expecting something roughly the size of a Miata or Z3, but it is much wider -- which may explain the weight.

I'd post a pic, but don't have anywhere to host it :-(

The Sky is quite nice. I guess it depends on what you want -- curves or something a little more trim.

BTW, is that the new S-class sitting behind the Sky? Man, is that thing fugly.

Oops. It's a Maybach. Still fugly.

I wonder when I'll get the first "hey, is that the new saturn?" comment :D

The Sky does look nice. At least it has a normal looking dashboard.... The dash in the rental Saturn Ion I have is a POS!

Yep very fugly... but I did get to sit in a couple... MB had ~8 Maybachs on display at a tent up by the Blackhawk collection. All were open for people to sit in.

Sat up front in the shorter one, and in back on the long wheel base version. Very cool interior in back, but the front interior is standard MB stuff, with extra leather and wood. I pressed the engine start/stop button just for fun, and didn't realize I turned the engine off -- it was completely silent at idle! Then the attendant came up to me and asked me to restart. He was very nice about it...
