If anyone can help me find a Ford GT for sale in Tungsten Silver, I would appreciate it (because I might get to drive it).

TIA

Can't help you find one, but I saw a yellow one on the road today. It was in front of me at a light, driven by a 30s-ish white guy with a male passenger. He ended up next to a silver M3 with four passengers (incl. driver) at a light. I commented on how cool it looked, but Kim was not impressed. "The body isn't even put together right," as she pointed to the very uneven gap between hood and rear fender. "You'd pay THAT MUCH for a FORD??!?!"

And then, the light turned green. M3 took off at a somewhat fast pace, and the GT revved....then stalled. The driver crept way five second later as if he were wounded.

I'd still buy one if I could.

Cant help you out with a Tungsten one, but at BMW of Austin they have one on the used car showroom floor in red. Hmmm...I should have asked for a drive.

Here is the eBay listing:

My friend is adamant about the color. :( He doesn't want to wait the six months or so the current wait is for a new one. I think he's going to be SOL and am suggesting that he get himself on some lists to buy it new, but who knows.

it's a neat color, not really mainstream --is that the point?

have seen two on the road now. cool looking for sure.

So, if I never said anything about it publicly, my friend bought a white GT shortly after I started this thread. If any of you saw the GT, Z06, Viper comparo on edmunds.com a few months ago, you saw his car.

Anyway, I bring this up, because I never would have thought that another friend in LA would buy another one. (Actually, the new buyer is much more a friend of my brother's than mine, but still.) I hate Maryland.

not sure if you asked him, but was he a little wary of them doing the acceleration testing on his car? that'd be hard for me to let go of the car knowing the paces they'd put it through.

I didn't say that they did the testing on his car.

For various reasons, it's not at all uncommon for the cars in the photos accompanying reviews to be different than the ones driven for the review.

oh!

that's the ultimate then. :D

nothing like having professional pictures taken of your car without the abuse that comes with it. regardless of how cynical i am about the GT, it's cool car and it's going to be worth some serious money in the future which is more than i can say for any GM product.
