Holy crap!

I wonder if their torque wrenches have been set to 88 ft-lbs for over a year, too. :eeps:

Does that mean they're fixed, non-adjustible tq wrenches?

(Please don't forget I'm a clueless newbie.)

Ya.

There are certain jobs that can only be done with a beam-type (ie, one particular step in rebuilding a final drive).

Interesting. Why's that?

A beam-type is required because the specs call for a torque range, something a clicker-type can't give you. The check when rebuilding a rear-end calls for swinging the tool repeatedly back and forth while following the torque reading with your head to make sure it falls within spec. It looks very amusing to onlookers but it's actually pretty simple.

I have used the toolbox twice. Pretty nice club service. I also think there are more manuals available than listed. (The listed ones are in good shape, some of the others... )
