What is that RIDICULOUS thing on the hood? :lol: I hope the round the edges off a bit for production.

I had a "friend" in high school who had what was once a really sweet '69 Camaro...till some dingbat wrecked it for him. After it was fixed (and it shouldn't have been) he did everything possible to make it the biggest POS in the world. As we all know, there are some prettying big honking POSs in the world, so he knew that he had to try really, really hard. :rolleyes:

One of the things he really, really wanted to do was put a blower on it. but he didn't have the money. His solution? Tape together cardboard into the shape of a snorkel/scoop like this:

and glue it to the hood. Hand painted with a roller in exterior white latex paint (just as he had done to the rest of the car a few weeks earlier) and, voilą, he suddenly had a blower. He swore up and down that he really did. He wouldn't open the hood or let us look at it too closely. He did, however offer to take a couple of us for a ride to demonstrate its, uh, "power." I think we got about 400-500 feet down the road before the thing blew off.

That was funny.

But even the picture you included has the angles right. That thing they put on the car in the first picture . . . there isn't a single correct proportion included.

Not to be a dick, but it's very obvious that is a hacked on scoop for mechanical testing. :rolleyes:

it'd be cool if BMW got off of its high horse and brought back some forced induction to the lineup.
