Hey everyone ...
Just wanted to let everyone here know - first.

I will be selling my 1973 2002.

I will post the formal advert here later today....

Yep... I've had that car longer than some of you folks have been around.. Since 1983....

With the Coupe in the garage now, the 02 is kinda an orphan.

I realize this isn't the crowd that would be directly interested in the car - but if you know anyone who might be - Let them know.

Stay tuned for the detailed info and pics.....

Adios

Seriously, if it wasn't a dumb idea for me to buy this car, I'd be all over it.

you've owned this car longer than I've been alive... which is pretty cool.

I'll be asking mid 8's - I think anyway.
I need to do some looking at comps. There are some places to look but I'm basing my $$ mostly from some local guys I know who are into these cars and have brokered a couple of them recently.

And..... Murphy's Law is with me - My work schedule is killing me right now. Friday out at midnight... 12 hours both Sat and Sun. Today... Who knows - 12 hours as I type this and counting....

I have the write up mostly finished - I just need a clear head to proof it and the pics I need to load up on some photo site...

And yeah... I really will miss that car. But - as much fun it is to drive - it is not my choice to take any more. The E9 is just so much more of a 'car' than the 02 is. Maybe not as much 'fun' - but so much nicer to drive. And - it does hold its own in the twisties. Just not as edgy as the 02.

Huh. That would fit nicely in the back of my truck, only the truck took up most of the fun money I had. :-) Good luck with the sale! I want pics.

Nope - Not a tii.
I have a Weber 38DGAS carb installed.

I purposely did NOT get a tii.
As much as I would have liked to, even back then the tii was a potential pain to tune right. Special tools, special procedures... and most importantly - finding someone who could do it right were challenges even back then (just 10 years after the car was built).

And - with the tii - you can not really do anything to the engine to modify it.
With my changes to my engine, I am approaching the power of the tii and have never had any issues of any kind - and most importantly, anybody familar with older BMW's can work on it. Espcially me. :)

Some day, I'd like to rebuild my S14 and put it into a 2002...
