OK, so it's a "crossover," whatever that means. The relevant bit is that this big VW wagon (sitting in between the Passat and the Phaeton) uses the chassis from the Maserati Quattroporte (!), and will employ Audi V8 engines).

Probably pricey, though.

Nice looking wagon. Interesting that the article indicates 4motion will not be offered... I wonder if VW would be worried about poaching Toureg sales. :?

Hmm, looks good. I also like the upcoming Golf V platform. I don't think that VW fits the bill very well as a sporting car, but they seem to make great daily transportation.

that looks decent.

while i like that concept vehicle, i really hpoe that they build the new mid-engined roadster thingy that they demonstrated at frankfurt.

It looks decent, but there's no sense of scale in that pic. I like pics with someone standing next to a car.

So, what is the point of a crossover? To let someone buy a wagon but not call it a wagon?

Actually I think it's to let someone buy an SUV and not call it an SUV :box:
