(for information plus entertainment).

leaning toward option #1, but #2 is great, too, option #3 is ludicrous.

that is only a realistic choice because they relented and would give us a 6 speed manual instead of SMG7.

why would a 330 be in the running with a CTS-V?

why would a 330 be in the running with a CTS-V?

Is one of these cars going to be your winter commuter?

Preliminarily, I'd say option 1. Two 400hp engines is just ridiculously cool if you don't mind it.

Perhaps we can better help you if you give us a bit of background as to why you are considering this reshuffling. We have OUR reasons, but we need to help you based on YOUR reasons.

Why would a legacy GT be in the running with a Z06. :?

Good question.

Who would consider those two cars?

the CTS-v, in an ideal world, would be the fulltime commuter-mobile. my commute is all highway so snow tires would be a true necessity, of course, but i believe that the car (it's a tank) could get by on snow tires.

it's so much fun to drive.

it will likely replace the Fuji Heavy Industries product, but am unsure at the moment. it could just as easily replace the bowtie (it's going to happen sooner or later to make way for the c6z06/997S anyway). in this action plan, the deal would be to sell the leg GT wagon to an enthusiast, sell/trade the bowtie and hum along in the CTSv for awhile. then when the c6 z06 is formally released and tested, and i formally test it at SpringMountain motorsports on the track, i could justify having the third car again.

but life could be simple and be a twin 400hp stable of vehicles.

I don't know how much you drive the Z06, so I don't know how much you'd miss it.

Unless the E90 has radically more low-end torque than the E46, you won't be happy with a 330--it's just too bereft of poke.

Were I you, I'd get the CTSv and either keep or sell the Z06.

I drove the CTS-V at the "Autoshow in Motion" at Gillette Stadium on Saturday morning.

:jawdrop:
I promise to come visit if you get one.

I think you can safely scratch off the non-V CTS and the E90. If you're going to get a CTS, it's going to be the V. And I can't see why anyone would buy an E90 considering what other cars are out there and considering how unappealing the car is itself. Plus, it will be VERY slow compared to what you are used to.

Option #1

I actually like the E90 (after getting some time to look at it up close) but there's no way I'd take it over a CTS-V.

It would be way cool if you had the V and then exchanged the old Z06 for the new one. That would be quite the garage.
