if you follow the link to "the new coupes"....you'll see the first picture, "image 1" which is a side profile of a dark metallic blue C4S coupe.

it's freaking amazing.

i would love to own one.....but they're kinda pokey.

(4.6 seconds to 60mph?)

I'm going to get a Carrera S somehow. I have no use for one with awd though.

Metallic Black for me please.

It is awesome, but for my money, I rather get a Cayman S and get RUF mods. They are getting 365hp into a Boxster.

Porsche is always pessimistic when publishing 0-60 numbers. :D

The car is beautiful.

Indeed.

I don't think I will ever get tired of the slowly evolving Porsche style. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

The 996 never appealed to me, but even the 996 C4S is a car I would have bought.

The 997? Yeah, that kicks ass.

Yeah. I didn't care much for the styling of the 996.

Hell of a car though nonetheless. Ken had a 996 C4S. It was impressive.

my wall of anti-porsche-ness post-stuttgart ownership is slowly crumbling.

it makes no sense to me, because the cars that i drive every day are plenty fast and one is measurably and quantitatively faster, quicker, better handling......but it still keeps me coming back to the new 997 widebodies.

Is a C4S as fun to drive as a regular RWD CS? Is it easier to drive? :dunno:

since i'm too stupid to know how to do this, can someone please post that picture from the porsche website of the blue 997 C4s sideview?

anyway, the 996C4S definitely felt differently than the run of the mill C2. all things being equal, the c4s is measurably faster at the track, but the c2 is a much more involving drive. i drove both back to back considerably when i was about to jump into a 996 c4s (before i ended up buying the 993).
