I'm contemplating S2000s again... and Boxsters. Summer weather is the catalyst.

There is something seriously wrong with me. I have a great car but want something different, regardless. Before the kids were born, the options were much more open. Now, I feel extremely guilty about looking at a 30+k car when that money could be going into their college funds, etc. Three years ago there would have been an Elise in the garage, no question.

I'm getting foggy on the torque differences... well, not really but I have a pronounced recollection of the raw dyanamics, involvement and droolworthy shifter action in the S2000.

I said please...

There is a clean, used specimen on the dealer lot but the f'cker is yellow. I have a hard enough time trying to see myself in a roadster. Yellow is definitely out of the question.

Not in yellow, ever. I don't care what kind of car it is.

I found a black on black '03 S2000 with some respectable mods within 350 miles of me. I'm waiting on an e-mail reply from the seller...

Give in to your wants and desires. But not the yellow one...

The past 10 months, owning the S2000, have been the most enjoyable driving months of my life. And by a long shot. I look for any excuse to get out on the road.

And trust me, you get used to the short gearing and high torque peak in a hurry. Once the engine breaks in, the car moooooves. It really does.

I love the yellow one. But Suzuka is my favorite.

If I buy anything, it will be a roadster. Nothing against the 'stang, it just isn't where I am right now.

I love the truly go-cart like qualities of the car. It's loud, direct and communicative. Granted, it isn't the fastest car on the road but what a rewarding drive.

I like yellow on some cars. I just can't see myself in any of them.

The Elise looks killer in yellow but I'd have a hard time not going with the blue, black, green or purple before yellow.

There is something seriously wrong with me.

Don't say that ever again or you will be banned from carmudgeons. Get the car and don't look back. :bigpimp:

We all suffer from the same sickness. I figured this was like a support group.

Should have known not to look to you crackpots for an intervention. :)

You should have known better. It's like an alcoholic going to other alcoholics in the hopes that they'll help him stay away from the booze. :)
