If I just had a garage where I could store all my tires.

I have one of those. It's called "third bedroom."

I feel your pain. Here's mine. Currently I have 21 tires in there, not counting the ones on the car  :yikes:

Is your garage smaller than this? (Currently I have 21 tires in there, not counting the ones on the car  :yikes: )

21 car tires, or just tires including bikes etc?

For the record, that's an operational '72 3.0CSi with an extra non-operational 3.0CSi as a parts car.

Of course I'm not actually going to buy it, but I'd love a 3.0CSi.

I was sort of thinking that was a stuffed dog, like on Scrubs.

Drool? Absolutely.

Been there, done that (almost)
I almost got that Turkis from BC but the details turned out to not be as nice as I remembered them.

One of these days.....

POW - right in the kisser (compliments of my wife  )

Speaking of some serious droolage......

http://www.parkplaceltd.com/webinventory/images/5704/5704-1l.jpg

I was in Bellevue today to run some errands and wanted to see this car. I remember seeing it at our local CCA car show several years (at least I thought it was the same car....)

Yep - It was.

CLICK HERE (http://www.parkplaceltd.com/pages/files/vehicle.aspx?id=4648)

Now - This car was spotless back in 1999 or 2000 when I slobbered over it at our car show.
Today? Well - It's very very nice. But not $30,000 nice. There is rust peeking up here and there in the engine compartment (if you know where to look) and the body panels (doors and trunk) don't fit as 'perfectly' as I'd hope for specimen of this caliber.

Even then, $20,000 to $24,000 is my opinion of the value - The longevity of the car is what I'd question. For that kind of money I'd not want to have it disintegrate right in front of my nose. I'd have to believe the owner has taken all precautions to ensure the longevity of this car (given the climate we live in here in Seattle).

The beginnings of rust are what would just grind at me in my sleep (becoming my nightmares). I have heard both sides of the story that either these cars can last forever if well taken care of (kept dry) or regardless of what you do - they will wither away to dust after some amount of time.

I'm now inclined to favor the opinion on their limited life.

It just means I'll concentrate on the E24 now.....

:)
