Just did the oil in my car, and I swear i feels better now.

(Speaking of which, anyone know how to reset the service interval? I vaguely recall someone saying that one need not use a tool for it.)

Yes, I changed my oil Wednesday and the car feels smoother and quieter; maybe slightly peppier. This was its first oil change at 7500 miles (2003 330i)

Cold definitely helps.

BTW, it occurred to me to look in my Bentley's (thanks LilE!), and I found the reset procedure.

I can copy it here if anyone cares.

Purely psychological, I would think. Havn't noticied it after an oil change but washing and waxing seems to add about 25 HP.

Always feels smoother. Especially after the first one. I don't know about peppier. Changed the oil in the Volvo wagon for the first time yesterday and I happen to have to drive it today. Looking forward to seeing if there is any difference there.
