I can fill up on gas as much as ¼ tank by talking a left-hand sweeper. By both gauge and OBC.
On the other hand, I lose gas on right-handers. :paranoid:

Not sure. Typically, I have my eyes on the ROAD in those situations.

It takes a minute or so to return to the 'level' level. :paranoid:

I don't believe either of our current cars do that. But I had a '75 Celica that did. Of course, it did a lot of other strange things too.

Yes, and my car goes faster downhill too!

Sure....
The gage on the 2002's been doing that ever since I got the car. It even changes going up or down hill.... actually by a fairly substantial amount.

Had some older american cars that used to do that. The gauges on both my BMW's have been rock steady. Well, the M3's gauge just goes down and down - very steadily tho :dunno:

My Civic's gas gauge used to vary if I was going up or down hill.
Not really.
Then again, there are no hills here...

I lost a quarter of a tank every run at the autox last weekend...

You know I go up and down a fairly steep hill daily in my commute, and I notice the gauge would move a bit if traffic is bad and I'm stuck on the hill for a while. Not too much though, certainly nothing like a quarter of a tank.

On the e36 M3 racer, Alex recommended not running the car below 1/2 half tank on the track due to possible fuel starvation from slosh.
He also recommended putting a second fuel pickup on the right side of the fuel tank and/or some baffles in the gas tank - neither of which are strictly legal in SCCA T2 :D

We had LONG, FAST sweepers.
Big time valve clatter once I started figuring out how to drive on R-tires.

I won't tell anyone. :paranoid:
Hmm, sounds like it's an old-bimmer thing. The nonbimmer that's about as old as the bimmer doesn't do it, though.
