Having read many of the test drive write ups here about the B6 S4 I was not looking for anything to change my mind about the order I have in for a comp pkg M3.
What a surprise. This car is REALLY nice. I have not driven the B6 so I cannot compare but I know that for the B7 they reworked the quattro to be a 60/40 rear to front bias instead of the B6 50/50. I took the same road that I test drove the comp pkg M3 on and while I did feel the difference, it was not great enough to make me not like this car. The six speed has a nice crisp feel to it and the interior was rather comfortable. This car came with the real carbon fiber accents which were really nice.
The new audi nav is awesome and the interface is much nicer then the bmw. There are also two card slots behind the screen for plug and play MP3 use. Very nice indeed.
The BIGGEST draw to this car is the MOTOR!!! Wow they thing makes some great noises. (Louder then the CTS-V) Smooth as hell and tons of pull. The dealer who pulled it out of the lot was redlining the car from the first two lights till he pulled over to let me drive. Well hell if he is going to do it so am I. The exterior once you see it in person is actually not THAT bad. Kind of aggressive with the new five spoke 18's. Finally no more avus style rims.
JST I think you should go test drive the B7 and see if you notice a difference with the new quattro settings.
Btw, finally an awesome weather weekend in the Bay Area. Rain Rain go away!! :twisted:
