Wow.

I am impressed that he would drive that far for just an auto-x.

Flying to San Diego is impressive, but not nearly as much as driving all the way to Houston.

Hats off to clyde.

like it's never been said before

Just under 28 hours from Gulf Greyhound Park to my house. Slept for four or five hours along the way. Made a lot of stops to get rid of excess hydration. :speechle:

So "have you been to" every state along the way?

By the criteria that I established there, no... but some.

 1-2-3 sweep for RX8's in B-stock, with 5 out of the top 8!

And congrats to Clyde! Writeup? (but not too long. :) )

Not many more than what I need to send to Mazda and Kumho for contingency checks.

(Broke the camera or lens on Friday)

You need to get sponsored by Canon.

I need to not forget that the camera is loose in the soft bag that I'm dropping onto pavement.

I saw what I guess is downtown from the top of a bridge on the way out of town.

Weather was nice. People were mostly friendly.

edit...

and apparently, they like their cowboys to appear to be gay :dunno:

The older Olympii really take that well. I dropped both the D-510 and D-550 onto asphalt more times than I care to remember without incident. If you're doing a lot of these trips, you might want to consider something el cheapo and bulletproof to take and sit on, get rained on, drop, etc.

The two in the car aren't bad, but there's just something off about the corner worker.

I-10/610 interchange?

Not the nicer side of Houston, but ok.

When you take these long trips, you should at least try to spend one day in the city that you are visiting.

P&Ss better be damn near impervious. SLRs and their lenses (still not sure which I broke) can be different beasts

Gack. Nothing like a busted SLR to make you buy a padded case.

Congrats on placing.

They don't help if you don't use them.

I'm 98% sure that it's the lens now.
