Apparently all CTSs built after mid January of this year are shipping with the same type of real-time traffic monitoring function on the Nav that debuted on the Acura RL.

Finally, a Nav that might actually be worth something.

You know, about 3 years ago, I was talking to Eric over IM when I came up with something like that. "Wouldn't it be cool," I mused, "to have GPS linked with local traffic reports? Then you could see what's ahead and even ask the computer to reroute for you. Finally, a system worth having." Shoulda patented that sucker.

Place your order yet? I really think it's cool that you're getting a CTS-V for yourself and a Mustang GT for your wife to replace the WRX. 2 people, 16 cylinders, 700HP, 715ft-lbs/tq.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

I thought you weren't going to drink until they hit puberty.

I came up with MTV in the mid seventies.

I don't think the traffic tie in works in every city....probably does in DC but I doubt Baltimore is in there.

I think that's right. I think you can see which cities it works in on Yahoo, which recently started displaying the same info on maps of DC.

I think it works for all the cities that have XM traffic stations. I could have misread though. It also costs something like $4 a month over the normal XM subscription. I would pay for it. Too bad I just bought one. Although it's not clear yet whether the technology will make it into the V. The nav systems are not identical.
