Heh.

Only 13K in upgrades. Without installation and with the cost of the underlying car, its still less than a new M3.

That car is hilarious.

Don't forget that the parts are sourced from FRPP, which is not known for discounted pricing. Hee hee hee!

Keep in mind, of course, that crazy power out of pony cars is not a new thing. It has always been relatively easy to coax more horsies out of a Mustang or Camaro, and manufacturers have done a few of their own to prove it -- Ford has SVT, and GM has their own division, the name of which I've forgotten. It's always true that you can build one of these bad boys for a lot less than you could buy an M3...but I don't know that anyone with an overboosted Cobra seriously thought about buying an M3 instead.

No, they aren't really competitors. And, in truth, no matter how compliant the suspension, a car with so much power that it made commuting feel like driving on black ice would probably get pretty old, pretty fast. Moreover, the old Mustang is still a giant POS, no matter how much engine it has.

But it's still pretty fricking cool.

LOL, no wonder they went through a brand new set of rear tires in one week (watch the video).

Yes. Damn, I love V8s.

On a side note, I really like the wheels they used on it.

I'd like to invite them over to resurface my driveway.
