because of hte snow?
or did it miss DC/MD and hit philly mostly?
it's a comin' this way.
can't wait to have fun with subaru awd in blizzard conditions.
If you check the radar, it looks like we're probably done getting snow around here. http://www.intellicast.com/Local/USLocalWide.asp?loc=usmdct22083&seg=LocalWeather&p rodgrp=RadarImagery&product=Radar&prodnav=none

We only have 4 or 5 inches. So give them a few hours to run the plows and getting around should be no problem. I'm sure I could get somewhere with the Saab if I had to. But I don't. So....
We're going sledding.

Since I became an urbanite with a residence in the city near a Metro station, I only rarely drive in the snow. I'm confident I can do it, but I am not sure about these other fucktards around here.
I think I'll walk down and get some coffee.

Walking out to the fence in the back yard to get some firewood was fun in slippers.

I had lunch in VA.
It took me 90 minutes to get from the Tysons area to home (off of River RD), because of stupid fuckwits who were getting stuck on the hilly bits.
The looks on other people's faces were priceless, though. :D I particularly enjoyed going around an Audi that was spinning wheels at an intersection. His jaw was in his lap.
The car ain't a perfect snow vehicle, but it's not bad. The real problem is with the compacted shit that's just a sheet of freaking ice. The powder is unbelievably easy to drive on. I didn't even have to turn off DSC climbing the hills in my neighborhood.

snow just started about 45min ago.
looks like snow for the next 15 hours or so.
if it's 10inches, it's no big deal.
if it's 24inches, THAT is a serious pain in the a$$.

We're supposed to get between 20 and 30 inches according to the weather channel.

Had to make a 45 mile run during the thick of it in wifey's Excursion. There can't be many vehicles better in the snow than this one.
It doesn't necessarily stop better, but I can't imagine anything preventing it from moving in the direction I want it to go in...

Your jeep could probably deal with 20 inches of fluffy stuff. 30 inches is another story.

Back in 96 we had a 20+ inch snow and my Wrangler got through it with no problem (although, it was far from stock.) We actually used it to flatten a path out of the neighborhood so other people could get out to the main roads.

That's awesome. If you get 20 inches, please do the same with the GC. It just sounds so fun.

What is snow? :?
I think I'll drive my Turbo today... with the windows down. :D
I can positively state that JST wasn't the only one able to get around. I agree with Stuka. Except it was the CTS-V with the sun roof open. Although I actually spent more time on my bike than I did in the car.
