Hi folks! Long time no see. :)

FOR SALE: BMW 525i, 5-speed, 138000 miles.

This is *not* a beauty queen. There is some rust at the bottom corners of the doors. The car was in a minor accident a year ago with visible damage to the front bumper. The glass sunroof is cracked.

The bad news ends there. This car is mechanically excellent. The car starts without any fuss, runs smoothly, and is as powerful as it's going to be. The M50 is not going to make this car a speed demon, but it holds its own on the highway. All accessories work. The A/C was converted, the right way, to R-134a, and blows cold air.

Tires have less than 5000 miles on them. I have a set of Blizzak WS60s on a separate set of stock wheels that I'll offer to the buyer.

I am very fond of this car and am selling it only because I have no use for two four-door sedans in my life. Dead reliable, easy to service, and super cheap to insure. If you're looking for a daily driver/beater, look no further.

Asking $1200. Must sell in the next couple of weeks. PM/email/call me if you're interested. Car is located in Reston, VA.

Is it Dr. Blee yet? We seem to have lost touch with the Blee status. Good luck with the car.

Congrats!!

I know someone who *might* be interested in the car. I'll let you know.

All of us local "old timers" ought to get together sometime.

I may know a couple people interested as well.

Hell, I'm semi-interested. That's one of the best daily driver BMW's IMHO.

Congrats!

By the way, if that car was build between Jun-Aug of '92, there's a 50% chance that I helped build the engine...

This was a January 1992 build. I guess the dipstick wasn't a ZBB special. :)

...But wow, that was fast. I got over 10 responses to my craigslist ad, and I just shook hands on a deal. If it weren't for the body damage, I think it would be worth a good bit more...

Next up: snow tires!

My father-in-law's '07 Saturn Aura XR. I "inherited" it, so to speak, when he passed away two Thanksgivings ago.

As much as I liked that E34, it was hard to ignore the presence of a newer, quieter, faster, and actually more responsive four-door sedan. Hell, it even has European roots. And anyway, if I'm going to have a project car, there are far more interesting ideas than an admittedly nice family car.

Don't worry, eventually hair will come out of there. You're growing!
