Apparently there was some um, miscommunication between me and the mrs.:ack::lol:

After I told her the bad news about the Sterling, she happened to see a very nice picture of a CB one on my laptop, and said, how about that one?

As it turns out, black is her favorite color for the M5, which is funny because the GT2 we had was yellow, so was the Turbo, and now the S4.:?

Given that, it should not be too difficult to find a CB or JB M5 with low miles and no stories. I personally am not crazy about black cars. My E46 M3 was CB, and nothing looks better than a black car that's just been washed, and then it gets dirty 10 seconds later. Although, since I'll be doing a full wrap clearbra on the entiere hood and fenders, it should make it easier to clean and swirl marks shouldn't be a problem.

A black M5, really?:lol::lol:

Yes really.:eek:

:ack: Dude, that looks in worse condition that my Jeep does most of the time, and I never wash my Jeep and things grow on it.

I am now close enough to offer equipment, materials, help and commiseration. Let me know when it's time for a polish weekend.

That's right, will definitely take you up on that!:D

So how's the commute been?

I am determined to find one. It's too bad that the OH one is being sold by a shady place. That JB M5 has about 10K miles, but the guy insists on wire transfer, wouldn't even consider cashier's check drawn from his own bank, things that make you go hmmmmmmm.

That just means that you need to do some tree killing.

My black 911 drove into my head NEVER to get a black car again, if you are a clean car guy such as myself.

Black is probably the BEST color for a car when fully waxed and clean. For about 5 minutes.

Car cover and Griot's Garage detail spray helps with that.

Speaking of which, who makes good car covers? Looking for a good solution for the M in non-M driving months.

I have the Bav Auto ultimate and really like it. Fits perfect and does a great job of keeping the car pretty clean.

I don't know if they changed suppliers but recently I had to buy another one after the first one was stolen. The quality seems to have gone up. Fits much better then the first and the material seems to be of a higher grade.
