The CEL will be solved as soon as I get a stupid evap valve in. (At like $90 for a new one, I'm trying to pick one up off of a parts car...)
Getting the ABS issue solved is going to be more interesting. It's the joy of BMW's habit of randomly changing the way they wire cars mid year with no warning and no apparent point. I'm hearing rumors that they decided to randomly reroute part of the ABS system through the engine harness.
For now, though, the car has historic plates. I should have picked them up months ago, really, as they would have made diagnosing a lot of crap MUCH easier.
You just need like a seven speed transmission and you'll be fine.
So, how does it drive?

Decently. It needs an alignment, new rear suspension bushings and for me to pick up the Star Specs from Radial.
I'll probably end up doing a real shock/spring setup on it eventually. The Bilstein/H&R Sport setup is surprisingly soft.

How is the E30 M3 going? Mine had a US transmission and 4.25 LSD in it. I found a close ratio transmission and installed it last year but never bothered with the diff, so I turn something like 4000 rpm at highway speeds.
Hey, it still has a top speed of about 108mph. That's not bad. :D

I'm showing 120s. (7K limiter...) But yes, kind of silly.

I haven't touched it, and probably won't for a while.

Just checked my math (because 4K at 70 seemed higher than I was expecting)...
It would seem that the car actually has a 4.10 in it. Oops.

Let me know when you need help with the brake calipers.

I goofed on my post as well. US LSD is a 4.10. The Euro diff I got with the car was a 3.25.

A 3.25 would go very well on mine. :)

Oh, I was going by the tach redline of about 6250.
