The Yukon just turned 180,000 miles this evening.

Talk about the Energizer bunny..... just keeps going and going.

On the replacement front - drove a 2004 Mercedes S500 the other day.
Ummm... That might be the angle we go for this.
4matic also.... At least that is the current thought.

Wife likes the MBZ's better than their BMW counterparts (can't say I blame her)

And....
The red E38 is at the 167k mark itself.
I really don't know what I'll do with that one.....
Might switch gears and make my '01 E38 as my daily car and get rid of both the Yukon and '95 E38 when we get the Mercedes.... or whatever we end up doing....

Our friends bought a 2004 S500 4 matic - smooth, quiet, kinda floaty - I sat in the back seat where it was surprisingly uncomfortable, and I'm only five foot ten. Lots of legroom, but my legs were in the air, as if sitting on the floor.

Ummm... I didn't sit back there at all.
I'll check that out though.

Keep in mind that the 2004 S-class is the same "generation" that was released while the E38 was on the market... so the two cars are pretty similar in features/content/level of technology... which might be a good thing if you like a bit more simplicity. MB came out with their own space-ship-on-wheels to compete with the E65 a few years later.

They are very nice cars though... I like the style and the availability of AWD is nice too.
